Cruze 2.0T Ecotec

I literally salivate at the idea of the cruze with the 2.0T ecotec engine. Will GM ever make it happen? If no, why not? Most other compact cars have performance versions, it seems silly that GM doesn't have a compact car with aftermarket capabilities.

Please help.
Thanks!

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
