Cobalt Clutch Bleed Issues
Monday, May 07, 2007 6:23 PM
Have a 2006 Cobalt LS coupe. Replaced the stock clutch with an Exedy stage 1 myself (many nights of work). Only problem is, I cannot seem to bleed the hydraulic system. I have tried everything GM writes in the book (I was a GM Parts Consultant, had access to all SI documents), but it just does not seem to work. According to the book, clutch master cylinder is supplied with fluid via a connecting hose from the brake fluid reservoir. Ok, yup, only small problem; the filler neck on the clutch MS is a dead end, goes no where. It certainly does not fill the master cylinder. Has anyone had this issue? I am about to order a new one, but I am wondering if I have missed something.
