When you read about other kits that put out like 10 psi boost yet ur up to like 230-240hp, but gm's is 11psi and ur getting 175hp?
Somehow I think its gonna be more than advertised. Many 2.4SC owners have experienced more than what GM advertised with the 2.4 kit.
In addition, one of the magazines (Super Street or Sport Compact Car) recently dynoed the Saturn Redline which put just over 200hp TO THE WHEELS, thats like 230hp at the crank while GM advertises 205hp.
My point being, that GM is known to underrate many of their products when it comes to hp. Plus GM isn't gonna go nuts, especially a factory backed SC, especially if the GM SC will keep your current warranty intact. After market companies don't have this same responsibility.
I'm just saying lets see what it will do when in comes out before rippin' it.
Do we know an approximate price yet??
Price would be nice, but I really wanna know when it's available. Cause daddy wants some boost!!!

I may not know much about cars, but I know two things......
1) Breaking things is expensive.
2) Horsepower isn't cheap.
...listening......can't wait either!!!
How about trannies, will this be for maunals only?
lets all not forget the numbers are probably on a stock engine with stock intake and exahust. a new head with a valve job and aa agressive set of cams and pistons..... i figure some should see over 300hp, with a fully built motor. 225hp sounds like a good start.
Any updates?

This past weekend I was at the Le Mans at mid-Ohio race course and GM had a cadillac and corvette display. I asked one of the guys there about the s/c for the eco and he said the reason there have been so many different numbers and release dates is because the techs and dealers have been told a million different things by GM. His advice at first was to check every so often on the performance parts website. When I told him that I had money waiting to be spent on my car, be it the gm supercharger or not, he got a little more down to business and told me to email the address provided on the performance website for the latest details. He said I shouldn't get a b.s. answer from them and bugging them will help push the release date because it shows interest in the product.
Someone should post this e-mail address and we'll flood the buggers to get the damn thing to the market!!!!
the website he referred me to was:
http://www.gmgoodwrench.com/gmgoodwrenchjsp/perfparts/home.jsp#
once on the site click on the "contact us" button at the top of the page. A box pops up for you to send a message. **Make sure you include your name and info.....imo..it shows genuine interest.....
Also, the info I posted is just what this guy told me, I don't have any inside scoop or anything so take it for what its worth.

Sent! Here's what I sent them;
When is the 2.2L Ecotec SC'r going to be available at GM dealers? I'm very anxious to acquire some sort of forced induction like Hahn's turbo kit or RSM's supercharger kit but would would much prefer a kit from GM.
I have had the funds sitting in an account waiting for a release and but there are so many rumours around that I'm confused as to when & if GM is gonna produce a SC kit at all, that's why i keep considering other turbo/sc kits.
I await for a purchase and your reply.
Thank you in advance

Yeah.....The dealerships by me don't know jack @!#$....
that response looks a little to general. like its the same response for every online question.
hmmmm......thats exactly the response I was hoping we wouldn't get. That sounds like some automatic thing or prewritten response. That kind of pisses me off because that dude said if anyone knew something "official" it would be these guys. I'll do a little more hunting and see what I can find out.
Yeah... I bet they know but wont tell the average Joe at this point...
