So far i have 2 mods (only cause my shifter is on bak order through rk sport )
AEM cold air intake> nice low end power gain approx 7-9 hp real nice sound
RK sport lower engine mount> noticable difference car grabs the road a little better on a launch. transmits alot of feel to the car though the engine feels alot more solid i'd definately buy the upper down the line anyone have the upper mount?
Surgeon Generals warning......
ITS OK TO SMOKE IMPORTS!!!

RKSport WAI modified into a CAI - WAI made a big difference... haven't run the car around with the CAI yet...

RKSport Upper Engine Mount - WOW. Well worth the money. Car slips the tires in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear...

RKSport 4-2-1 Header - WOW. Love the sound the engine makes now. Constant hissing from the intake because of the improved air flow. (Also helped to add to the power to the wheels causing some spinning )

Optima Battery - OK. Not so much of an 'engine' mod. But the car really does perform better.

I'll let you know what I think of the rear sway bar and lower engine mount when they get in this week

If I could recommend ANYTHING it'd be

RKSport Rear Strut Bar- REALLY tightens up the rear GREAT if you already have the Front Strut bar

AEM CAI- Night & Day compared to my old WAI. Really SCREAMS when I get on it and on COLD NIGHTS!.....fuhgetaboutit

and I can second the Yellow Top. well worth the money, car starts alot quicker

and if you don't have it yet, get it quick, The B&M quick short Shifter!
I wish I had more hands, I'd give it 4 thumbs up!

the upper mount is next on my list....

Also, I just installed this last night...
RKSport Rear Sway Bar:

Update: The rear sway bar is the best suspension mod you could ever do... it is surprising how much difference a 1/2" think bar makes... the car turn b-e-a-utifully!

Also installed the lower motor mount. The only vibrations I had were from having no interior and the car REALLY pulls in every gear... install wasn't as bad as some say either!

Both are 'must haves' in my book!

Wow... sorry about the double post

yeah that sway bar is the chit
I've got like ZERO body roll on corners now
I love it
nice 'n tight

there is one more mod that I really enjoy

that is RKSports bushings for the control arms

If you have a press this is really worth your while
the whole thing took about 15 mins to get the old bushings out
and the new ones in

and it rides so much smoother now

definently my favorite mod
and I'd definently recommend it to everybody

Bah... just get the REPLACEMENT a-arms

Do YOU have those A-Arms?

I heard they're more for Drag Racing
than for the daily driver.

I remember seeing a horror story on the JBO of somebodys
tubular A-arms actually breaking!
I lost trust after that....

besides, those bushings cost me $40 vs the $300+ for them A-arms!
If I had traction problems, I'd think about it though...

upper motor mount - love it engine is stiff as crap

b&m short throw - love it, goes right into gear smoother
spec stage 3 clutch - grabs like crazy
rk 4-2-1 header - nice sound and mid to upper rpm performance

Rk upper mount - I LOVE IT
RK lower with mark pain bushings - I LOVE IT
Eibach rear sway bar kit (only rear installed so far) - INCREDIBLE MOD, I LOVE IT!!
Autotrans interceptor - LOVE IT!!!
Poly Control arm bushings - Not installed yet but I had them on my old 2.2, LOVE IT!!!

You need to fix that, it will work better when you move those V clamps on the torsion bar to the outermost holes....then turn the L bracket around so it faces down, you are not
getting optimum deflection where it is right now...I'm sure you'll notice a difference.
Rksport WAI- Love it, should of paid for a CaI, but it works good and sounds so cool when it sucks in air.

Rksport Upper Engine Mount-Stiff as hell now, I get mad tire slip in 2nd and some in 3rd if I hit it hard.

Rksport Lower engine mount- same as above, they work better when used in unison.

But my favorite is my Custom Cat-back Exhaust with a 95$ APC muffler, I know my mufflers cheap but the 2.25 back from the cat keeps it nice and deep sounding. <--thanks Andy (someone once said said, "If you can't hear it coming how they gonna notice you." LOL

Oh and if anyone gets the Rksport plug inserts, holler at me I'm thinking of getting them next, let me know, thanks, James
I've got the replacement plug springs. Is that what you're talking about? As for performance mods, I wouldn't say they add power. But they do make the car a little easier to start, without as much cranking, so, that's a good thing.
I may not know much about cars, but I know two things......
1) Breaking things is expensive.
2) Horsepower isn't cheap.
