My base sunfire is lighter then most of you, no AC or ABS or power anything....it's quite a bit faster then a AC model I noticed as well. <br>

My wife actually had a non ac Sunfire last year. She wanted ac, so we got her one with ac. Not much different, both 5 speeds. There is a difference with the ac on, however. It automatically turns on if the hvac selector is turned to defrost, just a note. With it off, there's negligable difference with a non ac car, maybe a tenth on the quarter or something, probably not even. That's part of why I got ac on mine, I can sacrifice a very small bit of performance for not frying in traffic. Also, the ac package in Canada includes tilt steering, bigger alternator, and radiator. I thought it was worth it, but to each his own, right? As for power options, and abs, I have none of those either. I especially like the no abs, that's just brutal, I hate abs.

Wow, this used to be where I'd go to get away from ignorant pi$$ing contests on the JBO. For a moment, I thought that's where I was. Guys, let's hold this place to a higher standard. Keep it clean, informative and nonintrusive (a more professional level). As for any weight disadvantages, remember, our engines were never shy on torque.
