How many passes have you made before that day? Chances are it's you, not the car. A lot to do with track times is the driver. Experience is what its all about. I had a bad time like that too when i first went, I was bone stock. Next couple of times I got better and better, and eventually was running 16's-high 15's.

What size tb are you using now? And you might want to get rid of the venom module, I don't think it would slow you down, but it might be causing issues and it is very doubtfull it would ever improve anything.

17.25 with those mods then something is wrong. I went 15.92 @ 87 mph (yes 87) on a bone stock 4 door 2005 auto Sunfire. No weight reduction, no tire pressure dropping no nothing. 80 mph is really really low for your mods. The bare minimum should be about a 87 in your case.

Low option car or bunch of stuff? Sound system added? Tires and mags size? Your launching technique? Give us more info.

I didn't know an auto would go to 3k, I always thought it went only to 2k with the brake on. Your really not going to get any good times without mostly boost. If it was you first time at the track then that would probally be why you did so bad.
