03 Cavalier Ecotec Throttle Body

What aftermarket throttle bodies is everyone using on the 2.2 ecotec cavaliers? I want to get an aftermarket one but i need to know what and where to get it. Thanks

Have you checked ebay. I haven't purchased one yet, but i've searched myself, and ebay has quite a few for the ecotec.

I would suggest that you don't worry about a larger throttle body until you do some significant changes like camshafts for example.

smgautosports.com is selling some.

If i got cams off of smgautosports.com how many would i have to purchase, how many cams are in the 2.2L ecotec?

It's a DOHC 4 cylinder motor, so 2 camshafts.

Any time you buy camshafts, they sell them in sets.

Aright, i wasnt sure, i knew it was a dohc just wasnt sure if it was selling seperate or together. I dont know too much about internal engine components. Are these hard to install, and does the engine need to be taken out of the car or can it be done in the car? IF i get them i'll have them put in professionally, thats for sure.

Just requires removing the valvecover and you should be able to do everything there. No engine removal necessary. Most important part is making sure the timing is put back on correctly...otherwise you'll get a nice set of bent valves.
