Pacesetter Header for 2.2 Ecotec(extremely satisfied)
Monday, June 30, 2008 7:25 PM
I just installed a pacesetter on the Cavy. I am very very happy with it. It gives my exhaust a deeper tone, the car has a bit more noticable "snap" to it! Just be careful not to snap off the header studs, or you'll get one hell of an exhaust leak. Installation is pretty easy, if you have all the right tools and a lift. A few negatives: space is limited behind the engine(have patience trying to get it into place), and the O2 sensor is on the bottom-not on the side like the stock manifold. Like any automotive project, patience is key. But it's all worth it in the end. I just figured out what those teeth on the axle shaft are for. I was looking around when it was on the lift....the wheelspeed sensors, DUH!

Do you have an automatic or manual?

Thanks for posting this, kinda makes my decision go ahead and buy one easier. Anyone else install one of these?

no, but a set of car ramps and or a large jack and jack stands will do nicely

Is it a 4:1 header?

Do you notice the gains more on the high end?
Did you lose any low end or mids?

Pacesetter doesn't have a 4-2-1, just the 4-1 header. it should be compatible, but will it clear the firewall is the question. E-mail them to find out.

Can you post some images of your pacesetter headers? I am a bit excited to see how it looks.
