Air Intake Tempature Sensor Help!!
Thursday, August 21, 2008 5:18 PM
Hi guys i have a question. I'm running a Precision Gt35R turbo and i had problems already fitting that it in my cavalier. I don't know if i can fit a filter on the turbo due to the lack of space. I know on my Hahn kit i had before the Air Intake Temperature sensor was on the filter. Can i eliminate it or do i need it? I'm gonna be running Hp Tuners. Thank You.

use a uni-bit and a rubber grommet and put the sensor somewhere after the intercooler, since this is the temp of the air going into the engine. if you arent running an intercooler, put it before the throttle body like stock. if you cant do this for whatever reason you could always run it to the inner fender, but this will not be an accurate reading. the problem with this is your engine thinks its getting a different temp air than it actually is. this affects your timing and in a boosted app, you want it as accurate as possible. anyone please correct me if im mistaken, but im pretty darn sure ive got it right.
