Saturn SL1 1999/2000

I currently am using a Saturn SL1...all documents state its a 2000, but the parts needed are all 1999....so my quest is to have my saturn as an 8 sec car in a quarter mile run. I know some of the alterations I need to do, but I am looking to start now and little by little...so I was wondering if anyone has the specs or guides for getting as well as installing ecotec...also if there are any engine swaps that can be done because I want to see about putting a v6 engine into my car for more power, but wanna have a 4 banger as well to swap in and out because a 4 banger can be a beast...as I have seen them dust v12s like nothing. I want to see what all my potentials are with my saturn....I know once I get the Sky that I'm going to do an engine swap from a vet.

The only ecos that have reached 8s have had MAJOR funding behind them. The fastest known 1/4 mile from a private owner/operator has been low 11s/high 10s. It will be very hard and will cost you ALOT of time and money.

sixthsphere the best site for a fast turd. and good luck with the eco swap, the eco is huge compared to the LL0 you cant close the hood with one in there and no one has ever been able to get one to work. 8 seconds in a turd you're looking at a chevy sb v8 and a ford 9 inch rear end.
