From what i've heard, the only good product from Pacesetter for our cars is the Header.

DO NOT BUY from highrevmotorsports!

They are out of business, but have left their website up.

Oh and I've heard alot of bad things from the Pacesetter Monza cat back exhaust.

It would be cheaper to buy bends, cat, and muffler and take it some where to get welded together.

For my 02 Cav. I bought 2-90 degree bends, 2-45 degree bends, catco cat, and muffler = $100-$150. Then I went to a local exhaust shop and asked them to slap it all together. They charged $60. Would've been 50 but i needed some straight pipe added in.

Forget the dumb Pacesetter Monza cat back exhaust, go with a 3 inch magnaflow and you will LOVE THE SOUND.

3"!

Only if you are running forced induction. Otherwise 2.5" is plenty.

The magnaflow is a very good choice, thats what I have on my 2003 Cavalier. The only problem I have with mine is that the shop I got it installed at somehow made it stick out almost 2 inches from my bumper. If you want pics to see what I mean, email me at: vspec@shaw.ca

Everyone in my town was getting that same magnaflow muffler put on their car. I liked it at first but after a while it got a real low tone which was too low for me. So i swapped that muffler with a Borla Boomer and the sound is great the only thing thats sucks about it is it has a preety small inlet compared to the magnaflow but with the header and high flow cat, it sounds great! Thats just something different to do though.

I dont think i've ever heard a pacesetter so i wouldnt know?

Yep, I'm not a fan of it either. Magnaflow is very much superior.

I wouldn't go any bigger than 2.25 unless you're forced induction.

i am in the same position as you, buying an exhaust for my '05 cobalt. Everyone i talk to seems to have good things to say about it. The magnaflow website claims gains of approx 10%.

As for size, if you are going to design your own cat back, the magnaflow site actually has a guide under their tech tips....

will let you know how mine works out after i get it.
