I was wondering? if I could fit a 2.2 or 2.4 engine in a 87 camaro. For the moment it has a 350 4 bbl. Also have a 2.8 v6 with the tranny fuel injection. If it can be done? I would like to use an engine from a front wheel drive. Will my tranny from my v6 fit on one of these engines. If not ,what tranny can I use. Aim thinking of getting a Donner car. For the wire harness.engine,computer,and so on.

The computer and most of the harness won't do you any good on a swap...the wiring on the engine is relatively simple but the computer needs all the under dash crap and that's where it gets silly. You'll have to fab up a front mount and probably some lateral mounts/stabilizers as well...not sure on the tranny, but Keisler sells a bellhousing that goes on the Ecotec and will accept most Chevrolet trannys...
