Water in Oil
Sunday, December 14, 2008 10:36 AM
I just purchased a cobalt and this is the first ecotec engine I have owned. I notice an excissive amount of condinsation on the oil cap and I noticed some on the dipstick. Is that normal for these cars? The oil does not look milky or discolored in any way.

having some on the inside of the cap is very common, there really shouldnt be any on the dipstick. usually caused by cold start ups and not driven enough to warm up. if you see alot in your oil though you could have a blown head gasket
