My 08 Malibu ( love the car ) has the 2.4 litre ecotec ( great on gas ) and see chats about 2.2 liter ecotec and need for new timing chain. I have 135,000 miles on and wonder if I need to do the chain as well, I am not crazy about my local dealer ( overcharges I think ) and would like to do it myself if it should be done. There arent any haynes manuals available so am asking for guidance/input. Any out there? Appreciated.
