p0130 service engine soon
Tuesday, May 03, 2005 10:08 PM
I have a 2003 Grand Am with the 2.2l Ecotec engine with 55k miles on it. It recently started throwing a check engine code "p0130 - o2 sensor circuit malfunction". I am curious if anyone else has gotten this code, and what they did to fix it. It has went on and off for the last 2 weeks. I hardwired a bluetooth wireless car kit for my cellphone a little before this started happening, but I think that it is just a coincidence?? Thanks for the help guys!

You probably need an O2 sensor, they screw up all the time

Yes it is the position 1 O2 sensor. Which go bad on ecotecs all the time.

Just wondering if these O2 sensors can start to go bad without setting a code or a SES light? Here is a link to my post about my small issue with the Ecotec...

Sorry but those O2 sensors, even after going bad, should not cause any idle problems.

Change your pre-cat O2 sensor, and quit letting the car idle so much.
