Don't forget an aftermarket air intake. The stock intake/air box assembly is way too restrictive when it comes to air flow. Aeromotive make an adjustable fuel pressure regulator for an LT-1 that bolts onto the stock Ecotec 2.2L fuel rail with no modifications. The WET system is the way to go. The Dry setup sold by Edelbrock limits NOS pressure to 50 PSI. The WET system using fogger nozzles allows full NOS bottle pressure to mix with the fuel to create a killer fog only limited by the fuel pressure. I'm using a WET setup using a NOSzle setup. Before I was using a single fogger nozzle with 26 NOS and 18 Fuel jets. Somewhere in between 50-75 HP increase. I also have Eagle Rods and Wiseco Pistons, ported/polished head, aftermarket header, high flow cat, muffler, etc. 13's no problem for you.
hey i think you got your posts mixed up, why dont you tell us what you want to do to your car and give the advice a rest in one of your posts. seriously, its getting old.
-upper and lower motor mounts
-header and exhaust system (not sure what brand yet)
-17" rims and tires
-carbon fiber rear bezel with carbon fiber lights
-carbon fiber invader hood
looking to have all this by the spring
by next winter i would like to be boosted....
right now all it needs is poly mounts. its my daily driver, so a 12 second car is plenty fast as far as that is concerned.
the truck, i still need to build the chassis around the engine, which will include some braking and suspension mods, and an avalanche tx case based AWD setup. after ive got the chassis done, ill remove the existing V8 with one built for some pretty good boost.

DID THAT...DOING THAT...SAVING FOR THAT...LEARNED THAT BY DOING THAT...FUN,YEA !!! WISH I HAD MORE $$$$$$$$$,$$$$$$ ! ??? for ya! Does it seem to ya,that G.M. cars, especially Grand Am's has a very limitied after-market parts. And their's ALOT of Grand Am's out their! Look at Mustang after-market,the-skies-the-limit ! Oh,by-the-way...if your going to install PACE header on your 2.2 ECOTEC, don't use the header gasket PACE header supplies, because it SUCKS ! Go to dealer, like I did, and order the stock exh. manifold gasket, you'll understand when you get it! Can you say...NO HEADER LEAKS!
Yeah the ECOTEC has almost unlimited possibilities. Look harder, like maybe GMs handbook on how to COMPLETELY rebuild ur ECOTEC. Yeah go to a Chevy dealer and buy the book, read it, buy from it, install the part, go faster. Any questions?
