Hey all.

Ive been brought to this site because i picked up an ecotec engine... free.


Im familiar with the engine and what it can do. This engine was the victim of oil starvation, spun bearings and in need of a crankshaft. i dont even have a car to put it in. ...yet

Ill likely build for boost, if im going as far as replacing the crank, i might as well do the whole bottom end. and if im doing that, i might as well boost the piss out of it.


about me...

Im a site moderator at SouthFloridaRacing.com. im a service technician at a chevy dealer here in florida. im ASE/L1 certified. i used to work on fords, before that Porsches. Im a big nissan fan, as well.

My other (main) project is a V8 swapped S-10. this is a long term project that will be around around a streetable road course build. output should be in the 4-figure range, hopefully in the mid teens, on an AWD platform.

Id like to find a cobalt shell for the ecotec, which should be near or at completion about this time next year.
