Hey i just got an 04 cavalier LS sedan, and the only modification is a K&N filter, love the thing but here is my isssue.
Driving on 101, what is the best MPH i shoudl go for the best MPG. Some said that going like 65 i would get less than going 70 due to the car not being in overdrive (automatic) so im wondering what is the best speed to go about 60 for the best MPG, thank you.

It's more about RPMs that speed for MPG.

Runing about 2000 to 2300 gives me the best MPG.

That being, using 4th in town (35-40 mph) and 5th on I10 (60-70 mph) gives me a true avage of about 32-36 mpg.

Can anyone tell me what rpm the eco likes to run at all day on the freeway im trying to order my trans and get the rpms just right to go with my tire size. Is the 2000-2300 very low on the motors power band and at that rpm and that speed does it have enough torque to accelerate aggressevly.

2000-2300 is about 65-70ish.... if you step on it, it has quite a bit of power.

If you have to jump in front of some on in the fast lane, down shift to 4th and you make up speed in no time.
