ecotec in rear wheel drive

newbie here, i am considering swapping a supercharged ecotec into an AE86 Corolla for drifting.

is this the engine also used in the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky?

i would like to have between 300-400 hp yet still be fairly reliable..any suggestions?? tips?? what should i start with? how much should i spend for a starter? should i find a Cobalt and buy bell housing and tranny to convert to RWD??

any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Thanks Kelly

Find a wrecked Solstice GXP or Saturn Sky Redline and go to town.

The LSJ is the supercharged version of the ECOtec. it is not the one that was used in the Solstice, that was the turbocharged LNF. a buildbook for the LSJ can be found here: Clicky and another ECOtec build book here: Clicky again

A 3.8 from a 90's camaro would be cheaper and easy to find...
