2.2 Eco Conversion
Tuesday, August 03, 2004 11:54 AM
I'm starting a 2.2 Ecotec conversion, I have a 2003 Sunfire donor, (Roll Over Accident) Going into a 2001 Sunfire.

I see the Electrical, Intake and Exhaust are different. It looks like plenty of work but nothing too difficult.

Will I need to transfer the complete wire harness or will I be able to just plug in at the firewall connection?

Is there anything else to watch out for?

This is my first front wheel drive exchange, taking lots of pic's.

you will need to transfer the engine harness , pcm and the bcm , thats it

it plugs in right about where the strut tower is

the 00-up cars have the swaping easier

You might wanna keep the 03 dash too

that'll swap right over, no prob
if not, you could sell it quick it'd be a nice simple conversion too

BTW did anyone else get one of these?
