I guess no one wants to talk here anymore
Tuesday, March 23, 2004 9:18 AM
Where is everyone? Does no one want to offer anymore input here? I was hoping this board would "take off" a bit more. Hope things pick up around here soon.

I hope things pick up too. It's nice to have a site just for ecotecs, but not many people are at the site anymore

I stop in from time to time...

But until I debut the ride officially, I don't really go into too much on what's going on...

Hey, I'm with you guys, I've got a 2004 Electric Blue Sunfire 2 door. Looking into mods at the moment, turbo seems to be the way to go. Looks like you can get about 375 hp with an good intercooled turbo kit, and forged h beam con rods. How about that?
I have a question for those people that are here - what do you think I could do that would help improve what is here so far, and/or bring more people here? What immediate improvements do you want to see here?

Those that are on j-body.org know there are a lot more sections of the site there that are not here yet. Out of those sections, what do you want to see moved over here first? Since everything takes time, I have to start somewhere, so it would be good to have a preferred order.

Dave - Let me first tell you that I think it was a great idea to create this website. I think that there will be many more members when the Cobalt comes out. Some immediate improvements that I think would be nice would possibly be:
1. BOOST section [Just like on J-body]
2. Possibly a section just for REVIEWS of AFTERMARKET PARTS [I'm not sure on this though]
3. Some links to general information on the Ecotec.[Basically an FAQ section] I think I might make a post that has the links to some information on the Ecotec from the NY J-Body website, I've seen them before.
4. Possibly a NEWBIES section?

Again, these are just my opinions, and I think the site is practically perfect right now, but we won't see too many more members until the Ecotec gets more a name [which shouldn't take long]. Good job on J-body and Ecotecpower Dave, I'd be nowhere without them.

I was thinking we need a faq in the performance section like the one Event wrote up on JBO, under PERFORMANCE section, but this ones only for ecotec's (duh, pointing out the obvious again, how stupid), and maybe a ecotec parts list for all the newbs who ask stuff like, so who makes an intake for the ecotec engine................those would be cool, stupid question avoiders. But other than that it looks good Dave, just keep promoting the site, and thanks for the place for us eco powered people to hang out away from those select members on JBO that like to argue which engine is better, thats annoying, later, James
i go to jbo every time im on the computer, it has helped me so much in the past.
i check back to this site weekly, but not to many new posts.

i posted about my car getting stuck in the mud, not one comment or reply? jbo would have replied.

baysicly i want to see this site take off, its a nice layout, it has the same passwords as jbo, its just and all around good site, we just need more posts.

Dave,

I would like to see more technical info on the Ecotec. J-Bod was great for that, and I used if often even though I have an Ion. Maybe do a little updating and get that info over here, and a little easier to access. That's how I found you guys in the first place. I was desperately searching for Ecotec info.
i tend to stick to the org. but i find myself looking over these fourms. im sure in a little while this place will take off. we just gotta get some current posts in here.

for instance, i had a post in off topic awhile ago about getting stuck in mud... till this day no one has replyed, in the org people would reply.

im glad this site exists, it just needs some more support. im going to try and post regulary here.
