an amp can be hooked to the stock deck form my knowledge, has it has a sub preout...but the wattage from stock decksare WEAk....buy an aftermarket deck so u have more power going to the 6x9's and 4x6's and are able to play with different modes to make the sub sound betterm, itll be an investment youll be really happy with

You can still hook an amp up to a OEM player w/o RCAs. You need to get a line converter (I think that is what it is called). What it does is taps off you rear speaker lines and converts it into a RCAs. We did it in my frineds crew cab dully and my brothers aroura. It saves a lot of money if you want a little thump. Go to a good local sterio shop and ask them which converter you'll need. I know on some cars because of factory amp you might not be able to do this so ask them that too.

Yup you can use a Line OUTPUT converter.. its the only way to hook up subs to a stock headunit. It does what Thomas said...
