I got a bad feeling about this one. The fact that you are not using a clutch to change gears, and then you are losing gears, leads me to believe that you have ripped all the dog-teeth off the selector fork mechanisms. There is no hope for you in that case. You need a new tranny, or the old one needs to be rebuilt. I might be wrong (most times I am) but knowing anything about how manual trannys work, my best guess.
theres no hope now the dealership down here sucks. along time ago i took the car to get a flat tire fixed they told me i had to pay them 1300 dollars said brakes where bad and everything else i could tell the rotors where worn ( the dealer sold 17in rims with the car ) they also said that I ( as in me ) put the aftermarket rims on it and that i had been racing it. i had the car not even 3 months yet at the time hadn't raced it yet ( after the bs at the dealer i did take it to the 1/8th mile we have down here) i signed a paper and only payed for the one tire $191.87. went to auto zone got replacement pads, rotors fixed that and tested it in the parking lot and no fad. car was fine till i let my sister use it... sorry to drag it on so long and when i switch gears with no clutch i dont grind i know the rpms you need to be at for each gear and also the mph you need to be to get in to a gear

Man. That really sucks. I have fried the entire ingition system and ECU all at the same time, and my dealer couldn't care less. They're like "No problem! Can we wash and wax it for you too?" But I am hearing more and more horror stories. Sucks.

True, the rpms and mph might be right for shifting, but if that was all you needed to drive, they would teach that in driver's ed. You need a clutch to take the load off the mechanism. Even if you nail it right on every time, you are still asking the dog-teeth on the collar to take on the full load of the torque. That's not really good for it.
F1 trannys can take that, but they use like space age tech. Our little GETRAGs are nothin compared to it.
i had the dealership replace my whole tranny for free they only had it for a week and i had a rental and i do have aftermarket wheels and i know that the mechanic found my timeslips from the track b/c they were in a different place then before and they said a week was long, but they thought it was an easy fix and they could not get third gear out or something so they said replace it, the car sat for two days waiting for the parts they didnt even use

That sounds nice. Cool aftermarket stuff.

But really, I think you are totally right to suspect your dealer down there. They sound pretty slimy. Royally slimy.
Get a second opinion next time. A lot of little local shops (where the old timers work, who know what they're doing, and DON'T HAVE CORPORATE AGENDAS) will be happy to take look. Just call, sometimes they could tell you what they suspect it is over the phone. I never trust my dealer anymore. They just want the books to look good. Yeah, just wait till I throw lemon-law at y'all, sucka's!
