Brakes

O.K. first i am currently looking into upgrading my rear drum brakes to discs. and im wondering if the disc brakes off the cobalt or saturn and maybe even the saab would work for a 2003 chevy cavalier 2.2 eco.

second does anyone know where i can buy the best brake conversion kit. im not looking into spending more than 1,000. im looking to replace the rear drums with disc brakes..... and yes i will be looking to upgrade the front disc at the same time as well.
any feedback would be greatly appreciated. thank you

I have a 2003 Chevy Cavalier. I have changed out both the front and rear brakes with SSBC brake kit. I modified the brake lines to the rear brakes so I wouldn't have any adapters from the factory steel brake line to the disc brake caliper assembly. I painted the calipers using G-Tech caliper paint and the rotors up to the area where the pads meet the rotors for more corrosion protection. Shop around for the SSBC (Stainless Steel Brakes Corp) kit. I bought mine from J.C. Whitney out of their Sport Compact catalog when they had the 90 days same as cash option for credit card buyers. Summit Racing also sells this same kit. The difference in braking is phenomenal. Don't waste time trying to adapt brakes for your application.
