A/T Cooler?
Monday, March 02, 2009 2:16 PM
anyone know when it becomes necessary to invest in a tranny cooler with an automatic transmission? i realize that regardless it will increase tranny life and reduce heat but when is it really necessary? Also wondering if anyone has installed one on a 2.2 yet because i'm considering getting one in the near future. I have a history of tranny failure and im just trying to avoid this from the beginning.

Automatic or manuel trans ? Automatic transmissions have a higher failure rate due to overheating, coolers are good when extreme weather conditions are met, or when pulling an extra load behind the vehicule. Both a cooler and an oil filter are recommended with extreme uses.
