I posted this on the Saturn fans forum but since it's engine related I felt I should also post it here. Pulled harmonic balancer to replace the seal, found it had been assembled misaligned to the crankshaft key. This caused deformation of the harmonic balancer shaft and key. I will have to replace the balancer and key. A question for those who have replaced the timing chain/sprocket set. Can the chain be removed from the drive sprocket by removing the tensioner only? For both the timing and balance chains?

I found the part number for this key on this forum: The old woodruff key (#12623085) has been replaced with an expanded woodruff key (#24424855)

I did the timing chain/sprocket replacement on my SL2 but would like to know if there is anything with the 2.2 ecotech I should be on the look out for.
