What compression would you run your pistons cause you're going to need to run something higher than 10:1. Since you're looking to replace your pistons, you might as well replace your connecting rods.

What kind of cam profile are you looking at?

What are you doing as far as fuel management?

What size exhaust are you looking at doing?

Are you going to do any drivetrain upgrades?

Well, 10:1 will get him 200hp. Harder, but yes, 200hp is acheiveable.

Fuel management is fine at stock.
Ported head, zero cams (stage2),lighten crank, titanium valves/springs, 72mm TB, w/ 2 1/2 exhaust. should get you where you need to be. 190hp area. I will tell you though, N/A is NOT the way. You will be dumping a lot of time and money into a project that is will get you NO better than 13's. I should know.

I am pushin around 220-230hp.

I have 2.2 Ecotec base motor. I bought a head from a salvage yard for 20$ and ported the piss outta it. Not sure what the air volume was, I think around 300fpm or somthing. TurboTech stage 2 cams, billet'd the crank, MSD fuel pump and regulator, n2o Express nitrous unit. Soild mounts on everything. B&M shiftkitplus (yes automatic). Quaffie LSD. 72mmTB custom fab, 4-1 header, 2.5 exhuast crush bent!!!!! highflow cat with a casper O2 sim. Eagle rods, mantapart ST springs and valves. I dont think I named it all, but that is the majority i think. Oh yeah, Apexi SAFC2.

slicks, DR's, street tire, suspension, race weight?

just asking cause I may do an eco swap or when I get back from deployment just buy an 02-05 eco with a 5 speed. I am trying to figure out any way I can get it to hit 12's n/a and still be streetable and just spray to go any faster.

tks for the info

15" steelies with 18psi. dropzone complete suspension. I will gladly send you my build sheet. Complete with photos of the process. ummm, yeah i would be in the 12 with boost, or maybe just manual. I like to bracket race, so auto is what i built.

Oh and it a for sure thing, that the B&M shiftplus increases .110 in setting 1, and decreases by .092 in setting 2????? Hey, i got it on paper now. It just seems to roll through the shift instead of lock in....can you say slipage!!!!

got to agree with trucavypwr98. You are spending so much money on parts for a more easily attainable goal. An aftermarket turbo or supercharger can help you reach that goal no problem. or if you are looking into spending your loot. just search for a n/a 2.4 liter from the 2006 cobalt ss (not the s/c version mind you,) it gives you 171 horse power bone stock and is just a building block with more potential for performance. Good luck with whatever you choose. Da Cavalier Kid Strikes Again!

Dude, there is no way in hell you pulled a better short time than my LT1 Z28. You better post slips. Hell... even if you did there would be no way that I'd believe that the slips belong to a Cavalier

God made turbo lag so V8's can catch up!
