If you need any help as far as parts or suggestion, check out our forum (check sig) and we can help you in more detail. There is also an FAQ I made that you can read: How To: Build your own ECOTEC Turbo Kit.

I did a little checking for ya and it looks as if the intake for a 2.2 ECO should bolt right on the 2.4 so that means you can go with the INJEN intake no problem !
Also the exhaust manifold gasket is the exact same for the 2.2 and the 2.4 ECO's so you can use a header for the 2.2 again with no problems.

I'd say go with the INJEN intake and a header and full 2 1/2 exhaust with high flow cat and frre flow muffler. You may not hit 250 but I'd bet you'd be damn close to 200!

PS this is the set up I'm planning to go with when I get my 2.4 SS also.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

Clear Image Header here's a header to be available in a few weeks.

Injen, AEM, Weapon R makes intakes. And yes 2.2 Cobalt intakes fit ours. There are several Catbacks out there. But our stock exhaust is already 2.5" until just before the rear axle where it shrinks to 2.25". I had the 2.25" portion replaced with 2.5" at a shop and muffler installed all for $160.

Go over to Cobaltss.net and look around. There is a member calld GTPprix that works for Vector Motorsports and they offer tuned ecu's that really wake these 2.4 motors up. I dynoed 160 on a mustang dyno w/cai, axle back exhaust, and there tune and best to date run is a 9.66 @74 in the 1/8th and it can definatly still shave a tenth or two off of that. Also hahn is currently working on a turbo kit for our 2.4's. And over on the Solstice forum a guy is working on making forged low compession pistons and forged rods. Parts are out there you just gotta know where to look. let me know if you have any questions i'll try to help
