Machining question.
Saturday, June 17, 2006 12:33 AM
After going to the track tonight, and again loosing by tenths of seconds to turbo'd Neon's, I have come to the conclusion, I need a higher compression ratio.

So here's the thing. I have a ported head as it is. But I am grabbin another one, just for this experiment. Does anyone know the proper amount to remove from the head? I mean a FlowBench sheet. I also was wondering about how much would be safe to raise compression and still keep a daily driver? My friend wants to mill it down some. We were thinking around .0010, or maybe .0020. I dont want to end up with an 11:whatever ratio.

So if anyone knows, or can refer a site. Or heck, even milled their own head, post here, or AIM me at citifolk22.

Weird to think that with all the low numbers running the 1/4 mile, that no one has had there head professionally ported.
