Ecotec 2.2 in sandrail
Thursday, June 29, 2006 8:43 AM
I am currently building a new 4-seater sandrail and i am looking at using a 2.2L ecotec motor for it. I am considering putting a turbo on it but i am not sure if the bottom end will hold up without modifying it? I plan on using the haltech 6x computer to control the motor. I would like to be in the 190-200 hp range at a minimum. My other option is to get there (or closer ) by use of a cam. Comp-cams has as cam shaft that is for off road that they claim will give me 15-25hp that with the header should put me around 185-195hp. I will probably be running the 2000-6000 rpm range with bottom end torque an important factor.

any words or wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS
MIKE
