Does anyone know how to hook up the wiring from the alternator on a 2004 Ecotec engine if you are not using the stock engine computer? The wiring diagram shows the small red wire and the small gray wire go the the computer and the computer controls the alternator function. Can i hook the gray wire to an idiot light like you normally would do with an alternator field wire? Can i hook the red wire to the battery like a normal alternator sensing wire?
