Newbe looking for performance
Friday, September 29, 2006 7:01 AM
Whats up everyone. I have been looking around for some performance parts and wanted some in put. What is the best CAI, Header, Exhaust? Those three ar what I plan to do first. So far I like the RK sport set up but want to know how everything fits. What are the good sites to go to to find parts. Where do I find a S/C that bolts on? Sorry about all the questions. I have a 03 cavalier 2.2L.
Thanks for all the help
Kyle

personally kyle i have a 02 cavalier ls 2.2l ecotec and i havent really experimented with differant products but i have a AEM intake(pricey but best for the money and cheapest youll get anyways)Magnaflow 2 1/2 catback exhaust( i think is the best, couldnt of picked a better one, very deep throaty sound, good looking not fart cannon or anything. and pacesetter headers(they arent installed yet soo i couldnt tell ya how i like em but i have heard good things est. 4-8 horsepower for headers, i have heard rk sport has some very nice headers too which are 4-2-1 and pacesetter is 4-1 only thing wh\ith rk sport is that is comes very close to the fuel line.GM has all the perfomance parts but are very pricey. heres a website

Kyle, I want you to understand that when it comes to cars and performance, there isn't really a best and everything is preference.

Before you start buying parts, I would tell you to make a plan as far as what you want out of your car. Let me rephrase, a realistic semi-short goal plan.

If you want to know of places to buy parts from check out this:

http://www.ecotecforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=236

It basically lists just about every known internet ECOTEC part seller or supplier.

Also, don't buy anything from Mantapart. Their BBB reports are terrible.
