I want to spend around 3000 on performance upgrades. Its a 05 cavalier, 17,600 miles, Auto. Would like to keep it bolt on, but I will remove the head/cam if worth it. I could care less about MPG. If there is a certain way to go about doing these upgrades, in what order would you say to do it.
Header, high flow cat, high flow mufflers with custom piping 2 1/4 at least. Intake, and mounts. Then maybe a set of cams.

you can do all Jackalope mentioned and still have money to pay someone to remove the head and port and polish it. Plus get hp tuners software and find a place to dyno tune it.
If you really do have 3k in cash to drop in your car right now. Sell you car and get somthing that you won't look at in 2 years as a waste of money. Stock is the way to be.
