ok so heres the deal, i have a set of itb's from an 06 cbr 600 rr. i have an 04 ecotec. i am in the process of building for all motor and i already have an unused intake flange and i was thinking of using the itbs. i know a lot of people on j-body.org have talked about it but never done it or finised and i would really like to try and make this work. my head is getting p&p'd and i have a set of custom grind cams going in as well as stainless valves, and i know the optimal runner length should be around 10-16 inches. i have seen a few on hmt's site and a lot on honda-tech.com.

my questions are how to mount and make the iac and map and tps work. i have an idea of how to transfer the factory tps to the cbr linkage or to use the cbr tps as long as it has the same voltage, but i have no idea of how to make the map and iac work. i have an idea to make a vacuum canister for all the vacuum lines and for the map, but i still dont know about the iac. i have seen some of the honda guys mount them to the vacuum canister. but we also have an iat sensor to deal with but i plan to make a filter box and put it in the box. if anyone has any info on itb's please help me with the iac thing. is there a way i can bypass or just not have the iac? thanks for any help.

I hate refer you elsewhere but try doing a search on the neons.org forums. Some very informative ITB threads with pictures... might give you some ideas.

The MAP and IAT issues arent really issues at all, the IAT doesnt care whether youve got ITB's or not, and neither does the MAP it can be mounted on any of runners. The problem as you already know is the IAC. the bike like many applications of ITB's probably justed used a calibrated air bleed as idle isnt a condition the engine sees often and engine load at idle rarely if ever changes on a bike. you either need to fabricate a properly sized air bleed and compensate for things like A/C and P/S load manually(with your foot) or fabricate what I would imagine would need to be rather complex stepper motor arrangement for each of the throttle blades or the throttle actuator assembly as a whole. This is one reason why a street based ITB system pretty much needs to be fully bespoke for the application.
