Saturday, July 28, 2007 8:21 AM
i have a cobalt with the 2.2 ecotec in it...i saw a dyno video of my engine with the 2.4 ecotec intake manifold installed and the hp gain was like 21 hp...i wanted to find out how i could get the 2.4 intake manifold and what other things i need to do this..i did a little search and i think i still use my 2.2 T/B but i read something about the bolts not matching up...sooo any info would be great

thanks.

why are you switching back to the 2.2 intake manifold? the results are bad?

Not sure how to say this, if you look at the crate engine depot . com dyno sheet, yes they are correct by saying that the manifold had more power and tourque, what im sayin is look at the AVERAGE of the whole chart, my results are similar to theres, but im going to gain back the 12tq that i lost at peak (my car is 5000rpms). I really should wait untill i can test both manifolds at the track, but for now i still have run my fastest times with the 2.2 manifold.

If you don't want your 2.4 manifold anymore I will be happy to take it for free!

I also did that modification on my 03 Cavalier and it shows on high RPM. I also got I,H,,E and HPT tuning.

I don't regret going with the 2.4 eco manifold, I lost a little bit of low RPM torque but it helped the top end of the rev band (4500-7000) rpm !
