i am looking to buy some pulleys, an aem cai, plugs, wires, those little springs(not sure what there called), some ignition stuff, and a complete exhaust. i am not gonna juice it or turbo or supercharger. im not that interested in racing ricers. its my everyday driver. but going from a jeep cherokee to a slow sunfire isn't a good thing. what type of work have you guys done to your cars as far as bolt ons. whats the best stuff to use as far as plugs and wires. what about the ignition stuff, and are those little springs worth it. i think there something to do with spark plug conductors or somewhere in that area. do they honestly add power and everything. whats the best complete exhaust to buy. i dont want anything rice burnerish. hate those @!#$ ricers and the fags that drive there dumbass hondas. ok so with out this being any longer just inform me of the best stuff to use for everything. thanks in advance. <br>
its nothing like my totaled XJ
well bolt-ons are nice but don't expect much.
as far as plugs/ignition, stock is fine you won't be needing to upgrade,
seeing as you're not lookin to boost or spray....
aem cai is a good buy, pick a muffler and have an exhaust shop
bend a cat-back for you, ALOT cheaper than buying a cat-back system
than consider a header
pacesetter has a new 4:1 header out for ECOs,
weapon-R has a 4:2:1 header for ECOs
shop around

thanks for the suggestions.
i want to do the bolt ons because right now im not satisfied with the stock performance of the 2.2L. i want more power and torque without the cost of a turbo or spray. i dont plan on racing it. whether its on the track or the strip. just the occ. street race. i already know it can beat riced up civics and some accords. basicly i want it to be alot more fun. stock is kinda boring. thanks again.

depends on the cat-back i bought mine From Magnaflow in Canada 640$ with all taxes and shipping was free. If i would of made it custom im sure it would of cost 500$.
yes it does depend on the cat-back system...
but 9 outta 10 times you can bend your own cat-back for cheaper
than buyin the whole "bolt up" system
you can get a muffler for $100 and get a cat-back bent for another $100
try to find a cat-back system for that price
I paid $325 for mine but my exhaust is a little different....

So what exactly will make your bent-up cat back better than stock? My buddy owns an exhaust shop in town so i can have him bend me up something, but what size for a N/A ECO...2.5"?
on a n/a 4 banger you dont want to go bigger than 2 1/4. anything bigger than that you will loose back pressure. I used a 2 1/4 5 zigen cat-back exaughst and it sounds and performs great!
You donīt need back pressure on a 4-stroke. In fact no back pressure at all is perfect
ya you need exhaust velocity to maximize scavenging at high rpm, with minimum backpressure..

Yes, and you get it with a good 4-1 or 4-2-1 design of the exhaust manifold
