Hey i driving and my engine light came on so i ran the code scanner and it said that i had a slight leak in my E vap hose? I was wondering if anyone could help me and tell me where that would be located. I have a 2003 cavalier with a 2.2 ecotec
The EVAP Solenoid is located at the rear of the cam cover [drivers side]. Just follow the hose. If hose is OK the valve itself could be bad.
the evap purge is in the engine compartment the evap vent valve is near the gas tank.check your gas cap and see if the o ring is cracked and see if the gas cap fit on there snug,if there is a problem with the gas cap make sure you get one from the dealer the aftermarket caps are junk,ps there is no code that says slight leak in your evap hose,there is evap small leak,evap large leak,then there codes if there is a fault with a sensor or solinoid.
