So what is the hot spark plug now?
Wednesday, April 13, 2005 4:36 PM
Anyone change their plugs yet? I am getting up on 45K miles. I figure around 50K miles I will do a major tune up including changing the oil, fuel filter, plugs, brakes, etc.

Any plug recommendations?

I recomend anything but bosch. Bosch made my car miss and run like s$!@. I always use AC Delco Platnum plugs. They work great for me.

dont go with anything more extreme then... at most those split fire plugs other then that AC Delco and Champion is pretty good.

Be sure to get the gap right too. Should be somewhere between .030" to .050" but always check you tech specs. If you do want the plug to burn hotter then stock, increase the gap. BUT NOT TO HOT or you might start detonating.
