Someone mentioned that socket on the newer model ecotecs was smaller, is this true?
I have an 05 Malibu Classic with the 2.2l ecotec engine.

I'm thinking that you can get a Harbor Freight 1/2" socket set for the price of a Craftsman socket.

bah! $3 at pep boys for a 1 1/4" 3/8 drive short socket. $7 will get you the specific socket ( i *think* the brand is lisle), in their filter wrench section.
