China better start leaning on N. Korea a LOT harder.

BTW, irrespective of how it started, South Korea was invaded by communist supporters, and only because of a serious strain of good luck and good planning did Seoul get recaptured and the border appear.

just becuase they have nukes, doesn't mean that they'll use them...i think the US are the only country to use a nuke as a weapon on the masses...and we used two...

france hasn't nuked anyone, china hasn't nuked anyone, russia hasn't nuked anyone, india hasn't nuked anyone, etc .etc etc..

sure, there have been lots of tests involving the discharge of a nuclear weapon, but the US are the only one to use them in time of war.

Do you think that makes US Military and citizens any LESS of a target?

And there's no need to think.. the US is the only country to have used a nuclear device in aggression.

Hey east cost, were u getting your info, from Bush ? i hope not, do some real research before calling me a moron please, thanks. All i was saying is North Korea isn't just another Iraq were u can walk all over them. Their gonna put up a fight and definatly won't give up and if things get bad for NK then that makes me beleive they will use nukes to protect their country, values, their way of life etc. that they had for over thousands of years. But i could be wrong all it is is speculation and its just my own opinion.

** Anyways i see your in the air force and i wish you the best of luck and be safe, i have alot of respect for the army and i thank you guys all the time for my freedom **

Due to the chemical nature of weapons grade plutonium and uranium, there are a number of trace elements and compounds present in both which are indicative of the facility and region where they were purified. We tracked plutonium from North Korea to Pakistan where it was sold on the black market by this method. At this point there is no stopping North Korea from obtaining the bomb as they already have it. It seems Iran is well on the way as well.

Although non proliferation is the goal, it won't last forever. Like many it is not that any one nation has the nuclear weapon, but that the bomb would be sold to terrorists and used against the US or other targets. This may sound a little unorthodox, but try htis on:

Korea has the bomb, so what. Iran wants it and is working on it, try to stop them diplomatically, but if it doesn't work, no sweat. Grant them the ability to build nuclear reactors as they wish as long as they allow UN inspectors to go into them and obtain samples of their uranium and plutonium which has been enriched. If they sell to terrorist groups and a nuclear device is then detonated somewhere in the world, teams can analyze the material and determine where the bomb originated. Once traced back to the source, a joint nuclear strike from the big five ( US, Britain, China, Russia, France ) (or is it Germany?) will lay waste to the nation which sold the bomb. The power of the atom is open to all who use it wisely and responsibly. But the assured destruction of ones country by an international sorty of nuclear bombs should keep anyone who may be inclined to sell from doing anything stupid.

just an idea. its less than perfect, but it may create the deterent needed to keep nukes of the market....

What's cooler..than being cool?

Germany is not permitted by treaty to posess or control nuclear weapons. Whatever was left in East Germany was conventional... Stalin wasn't an idiot so he didn't place any installations there... Technically, Germany was still one big country.

Anyhow.. France has the Neutron Bomb... irradiate all living tissue, but keep the buildings standing.

Like I said, Google: Mutually assured Destruction. The only thing that keeps one nation from committing to release is the assurance that they will themselves be annihillated.
