The "Tibetin Book of Living and Dying" Sometimes called the "Book of the Dead" although that title is incorroect and should not be used. The only true "Book of the Dead" is an Egyptian text, also a good read.

Religion for Dummies book- Discusses all the major world religions.
http://www.dummies.com/WileyCDA/DummiesTitle/productCd-0764552643.html

Buddhism for Dummies-

The Dummies books are pretty good at explaining stuff..sure they aren't authorized text of the religion, but if you read them first it is a lot easier when you dive in the complex religious texts.

There's no such thing as the perfect anything. Everything has flaws, every human being, every animal, every plant etc... That's the way life is.

Being perfect isn't the problem... letting your emotions get the better of you is.

God gave you a brain and a heart for a reason... ever wonder why your brain is bigger (at least if you're not morbidly obese)?

Ever wonder why you were given 2 ears and 2 eyes?

Listen look and learn before you start interjecting your opinion.

Whooops...

Or admit you don't know everything, and learn when you're wrong. You don't have to be a loud-mouthed annoying moron. That, it is a choice.

One, like becoming addicted to hillbilly heroin or refusing to read something about the rest of the world, Rush Limbaugh and Ann "horsehead" Coulter should have thought through a little more carefully.

im for me, i feel all organzied religion strives to take those of other religions and convert them, and beleive that theyre beliefs are right and the others are "misled" that si just how i feel. From all i read from the keeper, i feel comfortable in saying, im with him.

It's all good, you can always repent and be "forgiven" right? Cause living your life hate free, tolerant and aware is less appealing than being an 'imperfect' bigot wanna-be Christian with @!#$ for brains. As long as you say your sorry after you kill!

You make me want to vomit.

I am agnostic.

For most of the reasons stated.

And my best reasoning is that if there was one single God.....there wouldn't be 50 million religions...but just one. If God meant for us to do this that, not do this, all people would have the same religion, and they clearly do not. Religion is used to explain what we can't explain. It makes me sick. It is a cult. Most people are grown up into a religion, and that just doesn't make sense, that's like saying the religion you have is right and what God wants...but then there should only be one religion around the world.

What many fail to see is the "different fingers of the same hand" aspect. God is wise, and in order to allow choice God allowed for different forms of worship. Different geography will produce different cultures and different view of God. As God is reflected in his creation, those with regional views of that creation will develop regional cultures. Each culture has a literaly different view of God, none of them more correct than the other, only different. A sunset on the east coast is very different from one on the west coast and yet it is still a sunset. There is a common theme, Love one another. There are logical evidences too, demonstrated in the natural order of things. The problem is many take the view that you have, that there can be only one correct religion. That's how wars get started.

Yea it's pretty bad when people kill others for their religion

http://www.ethicalatheist.com/docs/war.html

Religion was MADE UP BY MAN......for the very reasons to try to explain the unexplainable, to try to set guidelines how we would think god would want us to be.....but really it's coming from us for us........
